How to make spaghetti squash...

Picture taken from google images
Hey all! What's for supper? Tonight, I'll be having some left over spaghetti squash from lastnight. It was my first time trying spaghetti squash and I loved it. It was also very simple to make. Here's how:

- Cut squash in half, gut it
- Set oven to 345c
- Place squash peel up in oven for 40 mins
- When done, take a fork and scrape out the spaghetti with a fork!!

ET BONNE APETITE :)

For the sauce I used some olive oil and garlic powder, also topped it off with some tomatoes that I had warmed up in the microwave! nom nom. However, since I'm out of tomatoes; tonight I'll have to settle for oil and garlic, but I'm not complaining :) Add some chicken and veggies to this meal and it is complete!

First work-out of the year!

Weo! Distroyed legs today; first workout of the year and what a great workout it was. Hopefully there will be many more awesome workouts to come *smiles :)

WOD:

Leg extensions
Prone leg curls
Hack squats
Leg press

I'll be walking like a penguin for the rest of the week no doubt.

Aside from going to the gym this morning, it's been a slow day. I haven't done a single thing. I have to head out to GNC later to pick up some more protein powder!! Can't believe I ran out already... I go through that stuff like crazy! $$$ I'm still debating what flavour I shall buy.. I'm thinking cookies & cream, num num!

What are some of your favorite brands of protein powder? My all time favorite has got to be Ultimate Nutrition Iso Sensation! AllMax IsoFlex is second up! I've been looking for something different to try, but haven't come across anything that compares. Low carb & zero fat is the way I like it!

A little visual...

So, I thought I would do a little bragging about my very first bikini competition, that took place in summer of 2011! Since there would be way to much to write about, I thought some pictures would sum it up pretty good, enjoy! xo

2012 is here!

What does 2012 have in store for you? Have you made any new year resolutions? Do you wanna get fit this year, travel? Perhaps start a new career? It can all happen for you, me, everybody!

New things begin... now!

I've decided this year, 2012, I would start blogging about my new found passion... FITNESS! I thought it could be a good way to track my progress, and see growth. 2011 was a great year for me, I competed in my first ever bikini competition with Ontario Physique Association. I didn't know what to expect what so ever. I went into it without a trainer, without a coach, nutritionist, and no expenrience under my belt. To my surprise, I placed 4th and qualified for provincials.. say what?! What an amazing experience it was; there will be many more competitions a head in year 2012, starting with Provincials in June! Needless to say I caught the competition bug!!

Aside from all my fitness goals, I have a few things on my new year resolution list (blogging being one of them), here they are....

- Grow my hair out to it's natural color
- Graduate college with a 4.0 GPA
- Obtain my canfit pro certification
- Take up guitar

Fitness related goals...

- Gain 10 -15 pounds muscle by March 2012
- Lean down for June 2012; visible abs
- Drink up to 2 - 3 litres of water daily
- Eat clean 6 out of 7 days of the week (1 cheat meal/week)
- Take up cross fit/power lifting
- Win in top 3 at provincials, bikini division
- Qualify for provincials in figure division

That about sums it up, I think? I will be setting many more goals for myself as the year goes on, I hope everybody will be doing the same for themselves! 2012 shall be a year filled with hard work and dedication. Bring on the blood, sweat and tears. :) oh, and bring on the food!

HAPPY NEW YEARS, 2012 will be a good one!
